From the Chinar Leaf design
Chinar Leaf
The chinar is the great plane tree of Kashmir, and its leaf is a much-loved motif in Kashmiri craft. Here it becomes a placemat: a single gilded leaf with every vein pressed into the surface, laid lengthwise under a dinner plate. On pale marble or glass it reads as sculpture; on dark wood, as candlelight.
